Ana Rita Faria Azevedo. She completed her master's degree in Biomedical Research, specializing in Oncobiology in 2019 from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra which resulted in a final dissertation entitled “Xenografting of bovine ovarian tissue as a model for testing new drugs and examining angiogenesis, follicle premature depletion and dynamics”. Eramus + EU program at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the Faculty of Business and Administration by Mendelova univerzita in Brno and Transfer and Insemination Course (Level 1) by Mendelova univerzita / Brno at the Faculty of AgriSciences (2016). She obtained a degree in Biotechnology from the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra (2017).

Her main research areas are in the field of Animal Biotechnology, with special interest in cryopreservation, animal tissue culture, molecular characterization of genetic resources and sustainability of agricultural resources in the region.

Ana Rita is a PhD student in the field of agricultural sciences with a specialization in biotechnology. She is currently being developed the project "Characterization of the gastrointestinal microbiome and assessment of greenhouse gas emissions from Catrinas (primitive population) and Holstein cows as a contribution to the sustainability of explorations on Terceira Island".
