Jorge is a PhD student and does research in Biotechnology. He is conducting the project “Development of novel insecticidal nanoformulations for plant protection”, under the supervision of Nelson Simões (CBA) and Rui Reis (3B’s).
He has a bachelor's degree in Biomedical sciences and completed master degree in the same field by 2015 which resulted in a final dissertation entitled “A New Thrombolytic Enzyme isolated from an Azorean Bacillus subtilis”.
