Sara Luna is a PhD in Agricultural Sciences, specialty in Biotechnology. She conducted the PhD project thesis “Study of the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) associated with the Azorean endemic woody plant Picconia azorica (Tutin) Knobl. and their potential application on sustainable restoration programs”, under the supervision of Duarte Mendonça (CBA). She has a Graduation in Biotechnology (2009) and completed master degree in Biotechnology in Biological Control (2012) with the final dissertation entitled “Antimicrobial activity of Vaccinium cylindraceum: Study of action mechanisms by proteomic analysis".
