Summary

The project is aimed to explore the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) community associated with the Azorean endemic woody plant Picconia azorica (Tutin) Knobl. using morphological and molecular methods of identification, inoculum production and growth influence experiments in order to study the potential of AMF application as promoters of plant establishment in conservation and restoration of native forests of the Azores archipelago.

  • AMF spores

  • AMF trap cultures
