The project aimed the development of biological control agents to produce sufficient biological control products for an effective IPM strategy. The participation of CBA was focused in the improvement of virulence of entomopathogenic nematodes. Our strategy was based on comparative genomics between high and low virulent entomopathogenic nematodes in order to identify virulence effectors and molecular markers of virulent nematodes. We focus our analysis in the transcripts of high and low virulent nematodes in the first phase of parasitism and in the secreted excreted products of these pathovars using NGS and proteomics.
