The Forest Nurseries of the Direção Regional dos Recursos Florestais (DRRF) have the purpose of mass production of plants, especially endemic to the Azores, destined mainly for reforestation and landscaping, to improve the sustainable conservation of the biodiversity of the ecosystems of the Azores. Considering that these plants are attacked by several lepidoptera, this work aims: to record and identify lepidoptera species causing losses in endemic plants; to determine population dynamics of each pest; to identify natural enemies associated to these pests; to study the possibility of increasing the populations of the natural enemies produced in vivo in the laboratory; and to provide training to DRRF technical personnel in the subject of integrated pest control.
