Summary
Evaluation of local residues transformation and valorization into high value added products like compost, vermicompost and biochar, for soil improvement and regeneration. Chemical characterization of the transformed residues and the evaluation of their beneficial effects on plant yield and soil characteristics, namely on its fertility and water and carbon holding capacities will be determined. Ultimately these actions will help regenerate degraded soils and increase crop profitability in a climate changing environment.
