The project aims to implement processes of biomass valorisation of extremely important algal arribes in the islands in order to create transferable knowledge for the industry. Several approaches are foreseen under the project. The team of CBA (University of the Azores) is participating in the development of algal biocatalysis processes using marine bacteria of our collection to produce oligosaccharides and peptides with potencial interest in plant growth / protection, animal feeding (fish) and health (anti- inflammatory oligosaccharides).
